The 2026 RDS Agriculture and Rural Awards are officially open for entries, offering a prestigious opportunity to recognise and reward excellence in sustainable agriculture, rural innovation and community leadership across Ireland.

Organised by the RDS, these national awards celebrate the individuals, farm families and rural organisations who are shaping a resilient and sustainable future for rural Ireland.

Who Can Enter?

The 2026 RDS Agriculture and Rural Awards are open to:

  • Farmers and farm families developing sustainable and diversified enterprises

  • Individuals and organisations leading innovation in rural areas

  • Not-for-profit and voluntary groups delivering meaningful impact within their communities

These awards shine a spotlight on those demonstrating environmental stewardship, strong governance, community engagement and forward-thinking rural development.

What’s on Offer?

Category winners will receive:

  • €2,000 prize funding

  • An RDS Silver Medal and custom trophy

  • National recognition at a prestigious awards ceremony

Runners-up will receive €1,000 and an RDS Certificate of Merit.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony in the RDS Concert Hall, Dublin, as part of the RDS Finding Common Ground Festival in April 2026.
