Criteria

  • Projects must be located in one of our eligible rural regions to apply for LEADER funding. See the eligible regions by clicking here.

  • Are you aligned with the Local Development Strategy?
    We support local projects that contribute to the aims and objectives outlined in the Strategy. Download here.

  • Does your project align with one of our funding themes? You can see our themes here.

  • Do you have evidence of proposed matching funding? You will have to show that you have evidence of match funding. Our matched funding goes from 50% to 75% and in some cases, 100%. You will have to show that you have the matched 50% or 25%.

  • We’re always inspired by the creativity of local groups, businesses, and individuals. But as a transparent organisation, we need to see that you have the team and plans in place to deliver your project.

Got a Project Idea?

There are a number of criteria you’ll need to meet before getting started. These help ensure your project is a good fit for the Dublin Rural LEADER programme.

If you’re unsure about any of the criteria, just give us a call. Even if you meet only some of these criteria, we’re happy to chat and advise. We’ve supported many organisations and spoken to countless more over the years. The most important criterion, however, is your location.

Projects must be located in one of our eligible rural regions to apply for LEADER funding. Our funding area is based on zones (electoral divisions) set by the council. These are the rural parts of Dublin where Dublin Rural LEADER is allowed to provide support. Click on Eligible Zones in your region to see if your area is eligible.
