Pitch Sustainability Project Completed with Wayside Celtic FC

Dublin Rural LEADER is delighted to celebrate the successful completion of a Pitch Sustainability Project with Wayside Celtic FC, a project focused on improving the long-term health, resilience, and usability of the club’s playing surface.

High-quality sports facilities play a vital role in supporting participation, wellbeing, and community life. Through this project, sustainability was placed at the centre of pitch management, helping to ensure that Wayside Celtic FC’s grounds can continue to serve players, volunteers, and supporters for many years to come.

The project supports responsible land use and long-term planning, reducing pressure on facilities while enhancing the overall standard of the pitch. This not only benefits the club but also strengthens community sport by providing a safer, more reliable playing surface throughout the season.

Dublin Rural LEADER is proud to support local organisations like Wayside Celtic FC that demonstrate strong community values and a commitment to sustainable development. We would like to thank the club and all those involved for their cooperation and dedication in bringing this project to completion.

Projects such as this highlight the positive impact that targeted local development funding can have on rural and community-based organisations across the Dublin region.
