Community Employment Handyman Opportunity – Care & Repair
Valley Community Employment Project Ltd is currently recruiting for a Community Employment (CE) Handyman to support the Care & Repair Programme with Fingal LEADER Partnership.
Care & Repair is a community-based service supporting older people across Fingal with small practical jobs in and around their homes. The programme helps clients remain safe, comfortable and independent at home, while providing friendly and trusted support from a local team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will support the delivery of the Care & Repair service across the Fingal area.
The role will include:
Small DIY jobs and minor repairs
General home maintenance
Gardening and outdoor tasks
Supporting older people with practical jobs around the home
Travelling to clients across Fingal
Working independently and as part of the Care & Repair team
Providing a friendly, respectful and professional service to clients
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
Has practical handyman or maintenance experience
Is reliable, calm and respectful
Enjoys working with older people
Can work independently and as part of a team
Is friendly and professional when dealing with clients
Holds a full driving licence
Meets Community Employment eligibility requirements
