As we mark Heritage Week 2025, Dublin Rural LEADER is proud to raise awareness about the funding and support available for heritage projects in rural Dublin.Whether you're restoring a historical building, preserving local folklore, or promoting native biodiversity, your heritage project could be eligible for LEADER support.What Kinds of Heritage Projects Are Eligible?Through the LEADER Programme, we can fund a wide range of heritage-focused initiatives, including:
- Conservation of built heritage, such as old cottages, stone walls, and historical landmarks
- Protection and celebration of natural heritage and biodiversity
- Revitalisation of local customs, oral histories, and traditional crafts
- Community-led heritage tourism and interpretation projects
- Feasibility studies to help explore or develop ideas before launching
