Dublin Rural LEADER Evaluates 7 New Projects at IEC Meeting

Dublin Rural LEADER is pleased to announce that seven new community-led projects were recommended for funding at a recent Independent Evaluation Committee (IEC) meeting, held at our offices. These approved projects cover a wide variety of rural development areas, including:

  • Community infrastructure
  • Digital upgrades
  • Capacity-building and training
  • Enterprise support

Each application was reviewed by the Independent Evaluation Committee, which plays a crucial role in the LEADER funding process. The IEC is composed of external members who independently evaluate project proposals to ensure they meet all criteria and deliver clear benefits to the local community. What Happens After IEC Approval?Once a project receives a recommendation at the IEC stage, it can proceed to final approval stage with the LAG — bringing real change and investment into rural areas. This round of approvals marks another important step in our mission to empower rural communities and support projects that build a more resilient, inclusive, and vibrant rural Dublin. We look forward to sharing stories from these exciting new projects in the months ahead!
