Community Training modules have been offered by Fingal LEADER Partnership in the past. These range from funding support, committee skills, strategic planning, evaluation techniques, business plan development for social enterprises and more. The training has been offered in the past as part of a programme delivered by external trainers. This year in conjunction with Blanchardstown Area Partnership and Fingal County Council Community Team, FLP are working to develop a community development training programme which our own staff will deliver. This will cover the basics of community development and allow an introduction to the services available in your community. Fingal LEADER Partnership provided a variety of community training opportunities throughout 2009. In April/May 2009 a variety of information sessions were held in the BASE Resource Centre, Swords, Co. Dublin. These sessions included Fundraising, Committee Skills, Community Support, Employment Law and Family Law sessions. In October 2009, a Website Management and Maintenance training course for community groups and community members was held in Mourne View Community Centre in Skerries, Co. Dublin. The course consisted of four evening sessions of two hours. In December 2009, Community Leaderships Skills training was held in BASE Resource Centre, Swords.
