Rate of aid for private promoters will increase from 50% to 75%

Enhanced concentration on enterprise support in RDP will drive recovery process in rural areas

The current rate of aid for private promoters under the Rural Development Programme (RDP) has been increased to 75%. This change will go some way to address the difficulties being experienced in accessing credit in the current economic climate and will provide an increased level of support for rural entrepreneurs in Ireland. Community Childcare Supports

The National Childcare Investment Programme (NCIP) funds community childcare services throughout Ireland. These are community based childcare services which offer affordable childcare allowing access to education or the chance to return to work for those on lower incomes. These services are managed by committees which are supported by workers within FLP and FCCC. There are two services in the North County Dublin area which are supported by Fingal LEADER Partnership. Balbriggan Community Childcare Group run a full time and part time crèche in Balbriggan town and Lá go Bhrí Community Childcare offer a sessional services in the Mourne View Estate in Skerries. If you would like to find out more about the services or are interested in becoming a committee member please contact Helen on 01 8020484. Currently the NCIP is closed for new applications but it is hoped this will re-open in the future.
